Application
The
Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung supports foreign graduates at public
German universities. The program is designed for graduates who
would like to do their doctorate or enroll for post-graduates
studies. Every year, upto 40 new scholarships are granted for this
purpose, most of them to applicants from Africa, Asia and Latin
America as well as Eastern and Central Europe. Results of studies
and exams must prove an outstanding qualification for scientific
work. Studies until the first qualifying degree must have been
completed in due time. Another condition for the support of
doctorates is that the work has the potential to contribute
significantly to the scientific debate. Please also note the
following remarks:

Doctorates in
medecin without a first qualifying degree cannot be supported.

The scholarship is
limited to two years. It can be renewed for a third year only
under specific conditions. Times of other scholarships would be
deducted.

Study and research
visits outside Germany cannot be supported by this programme.
